Greetings from Singapore!
It's silly of me to name such title for this post as I'm flying back to Malaysia tonight itself. The past 10 days working in Singapore has been an amazing experience!
Workwise, it has been relaxing after the weekends and I am more involved in sales here than in KL. My one and only colleague in Spore sales gallery, Nicole, has been a good companion and host. She's a really warm and sweet person, talking and giggling non-stop even when complaining bout work matters.
Staying alone was the best part, surprisingly. I enjoy going out for dinner alone on most nights, exploring the cityscapes, nightview, and night life of Singaporeans. Strolling around City Hall, going shopping, hopping on to MRT (and getting on the wrong track twice in a row), having hot bubble baths in my hotel room...splendid. And the food, ah, the glorious food! I must say I have acquired a great fondness for the food in this island. MOS Burgers, the Handburger shop, Chewy Cream Puffs...they're just so awesome. Why can't they have franchise in Malaysia?
I spent my last night in Singapore having Japanese dinner at Vivo with Nicole and Chiu Pheng who came down for the weekend. It was a seafront restaurant facing Resort World, and coincidentally last night was the opening of the Boardwalk from Vivo to Sentosa. So imagine having dinner and girl-chat with a display of fireworks right in front of your eyes!
Have I mentioned shopping? Shopping is OHHSUMM right here! A lot of branded items are so much cheaper than the ones in Malaysia- dollar to dollar. Even if you convert SGD to MYR, a lot of items (especially sales) are soo value-for-money. And yess, I did grab a few items for myself to flaunt! ;)
When I'm back in Malaysia, I would definitely miss MOS Unagi rice burger (bottom picture)and lemon and garlic mussels (left picture); The handburger original; and Claypot Abode's eggs (harboiled outside, cold soft boil inside and salted yolk-above picture)! One thing I regret not doing is to visit Watson Singapore. My colleagues have been emphasising that it is a must-go place when I'm here. I never really took it seriously because, come on, it's just Watson.. But hearing stories on how they shop there and that they could spend more than an hour just looking at all the hair products and perfumes sold, I felt a heavy pang of regret. I passed Watson several times when strolling through City Hall but I was dumb enough to not enter it. *DUMB*
Ohwell, first and last post from Singapore. One thing I look forward to going back to Malaysia though, CNY celebration with family and relatives =)
